GREENCASTLE - Southmont High School's girls golf team keeps inching up on the 200-stroke mark.
They came within only three strokes of that number Wednesday afternoon in a 192-203 loss at South Putnam.

Putnam's Heather Hughes shot a 42 to earn medalist honors by two
strokes over Southmont senior Aubri Rush (44). That ended Rush's streak
of three-straight meets where she had shared co-medalist honors.
Mounties'
senior Jenna Whalen added a 47 while junior Caitlin Williams fired a
48. Southmont's two freshmen - Katie Fields and Caytlin Isenberg - each
had rounds in the 60s.
Southmont (1-7) next plays at 4:30 p.m. today at home against Sagamore Athletic Conference rival Western Boone.
